Half of the World

Day 12 – 13 : Isfahan

One cannot help but be mesmerised by the beauty of the sites in Isfahan. No wonder it was coined Nesh-e Jahan translated as “half of the world” meaning  if you have been to Isfahan then you have been to half of the world 🙂 It boasts the second largest square in the world that is flanked by other historical sites that will amaze you.  The city is filled with interesting historical buildings that have been constructed with such architectural genius leaving you in nothing but awe. The busy avenues are lined with trees,  pedestrian bridges and numerous gardens. The locals frequent these during the cooler parts of the day. One will always find a place to sit or take a break and watch the world pass by.
